Hi, moving down to Dawlish in 2 weeks time and pleased to have found a bike club! I currently ride an oldish (bit like me) Ninja ZX6R. Am looking forward to some bike meets, making new friends with common interests(leaving behind old friends on Wiltshire Bikers)and exploring the countryside down here! |

Hi Iceman
Welcome to Sunny Devon (not!). Hope your move goes smoothly.
I've moved down to Paignton a few weeks ago from Bucks.
You'll find the best sort of people around here.
Although I had contact with BMAD for some time and came down for the Bike Festival for the last two years I wondered how I was going to get on.
The BMAD Folks have really made us (Me, the Boss and our youngest son) feel so welcome. After a few weeks, and trying to remember lots of new names, I'm feeling very much at home already.
Apart from Wednesday evening at the Embassy Tavern and the Sunday rides, quite a few still seem to meet at the Embassy on a Friday evening.
During the summer Bike Night was on Wednesday at the seafront and Friday was Social Night at the Embassy.
When Bike Nights finished we decided to switch the social night to Wednesday. Maybe some people think one BMAD night isn't enough as there are still quite a few down there on Friday evenings as well.
I'll collect all the pints they promised me for saying nice things about them sometime!
Seriously though, when you've got yourself a bit straight from the move pop along and say hello.
Pete. |

Hi Iceman! Nice to have another around who is riding something other than a cruiser!
We are always happy to see new faces around, the old ones get so boring after a bit......
Only kidding of course but after all that sweet shmaltz above someone has to get a bit more piquant!
You feel free to join in as much or as little as you like, and don't let 'em bully you into marshalling until you are good and ready!
See you around, hopefully on a bike
