|
|
Wednesday 18th November at the Embassy
Plymouth Club members Chris and Roger Yetton givng a presentation.
Having spent 25 years running motorcycle tours in the States for all kinds of bikers Chris and Roger are now "retired" from business, but still biking all over the world. They have distilled their knowledge about the joys and trials of riding in America into a slide show, with some breath taking scenes that are a pleasure and an education to see.
No charge, an hour of entertainment and information for all starting at 8 pm. Bring your partners and friends. _________________ Ride hard, ride safe

Fatlad and I have been talking (dreaming) about doing Route 66, or at least part of it, for a couple of years. I reckon we'd better get on with t before one or other of us (probably me!) gets too old and decrepit to handle it.
The nearest I've come to it is riding on Daytona Beach.
The first time was in 2005 with my eldest son, Richard. I was on a Dyna Wide Glide and he was on a Fat Boy. It was brilliant and great fun.
Last time was in April this year and we were both on Electraglide Ultra Classics and we both got stuck in the sand nearly up to the axles. Good job they both had hard panniers as it stopped the bikes sinking in further.
It took four burly lads nearby to drag me and my bike out!
Never again. I'll stick to riding on the black stuff.
(Give us a job. I can do that. How many of you remember that?) |

Will certainly be there. Drove part of route 66 a couple of years back - unfortunately it was in a car, and only for a bout half a mile!!!! _________________ Shark |

Thank you to Chris and Roger for putting on this evenings talk and slide show! Several people asked if Chris could be persuaded to say more as they enjoyed her interjections enourmously -( No Sawnoff, that's not rude!)
Also thank you to the 27 people who turned up to listen and to ask quesitons. It was great to have so much interest shown and support given for this, our first attempt at a deviation from the regular social evenings. _________________ Ride hard, ride safe
