The majority of people coming are BMAD supporters, rather than members, and two are coming from Redruth, some from Exeter. We have First and Last, Virago Star Owners and British Legion riders on board with us, as well as friends and relatives of BMAD folk

REKINDLING THE PASSION FOR MOTORCYCLING


There's no doubting that 2009 has been a tough year for many, doom, gloom and hard realities heaped one upon another.

At such a time it may seem frivolous to be contemplating a visit to the NEC bike show to indulge in a passion. However, the nature of passion is to reward yourself for even having come through these times: a well earned pat on the back, or just escapism.

Motorcycling is a passion, there’s no doubt about that, and there’s no better way to indulge yourself a little, than to come and see all the new shiny offerings from the manufacturers and of course from Touratech, at the UK’s biggest motorcycle Show.

In a small bid to help input some impetus into regenerating the economy, we have taken the step of sponsoring the whole Adventure and Touring section of the show, hopefully to elevate awareness of that aspect of motorcycling and those involved in it. To attract new customers and to stir their aspirations. To re-ignite the imagination of those riders whose dreams have been put on hold. To inject some of the passion we at Touratech share with you for adventure and motorcycling and get things back on the road, or off-road, again.

To help capture some of this passion, we are offering readers of our newsletter the chance to win 3 pairs of free tickets for admission to the NEC. The tickets will allow the winner and a lucky friend to gain admission to the show from (and including) the preview day on Friday 27th November through to the end of the show on Sunday 6th December.

All photos will be judged at 5:30pm on Wednesday 18th November and winners will be notified in our next newsletter on Thursday 19th November. The Touratech teams decision will be final and none negotiable, beyond reproach, and based on no criteria or critical ability whatsoever, other than we like them.

Not only will you win the tickets, but also an, “I’m passionate about motorcycling” certificate, signed and presented by Charley Boorman, at the show. Please note that Charley will only be at the show on selected days to present the certificate (see article below). If winners are unable to attend the show on one of those days and we can’t rustle up a replacement celeb (not even an extra from Casualty, the Bill or Cops with Cameras) then the certificate will be presented by Dakar legend (and Touratech UKMD) Nick Plumb.
